Important note to those planning to visit Petäjävesi Old Church this autumn: construction work at the site, please do not access the church area

Petäjävesi Old Church is closed for the winter (1.9.2022-31.5.2023). There are scheduled renovations taking place at the site in September and October. During the time the church area is under construction and visiting the area is not allowed for security reasons.

Preservation and restauration work is a necessary part of taking care of the Unesco World Heritage site.
